Last week, six Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dogs and their handlers departed from Addison, Illinois for Moore, Oklahoma in response to the slew of devastating tornadoes that recently hit the Sooner State.

Upon their arrival, the compassionate crew met with various local pastors to determine where to disperse the tail-wagging team to best serve the people of Oklahoma.

The adorable dogs visited victims at the Oklahoma University Medical Center and other relief sites in the area.

From police and fire stations to the makeshift shelters at Oklahoma University, comfort dogs Ruthie, Kye, Bekah, Zeke, Lila, and Barnabas helped put a smile on people’s faces as they comforted the families affected by the life-changing twisters.
