(ANIMAL SHELTER) MISSOURI — We here at Global Animal believe that anyone and everyone can make a difference by helping animals in need. Recently, Ashly Reed, a 15-year-old high school student who volunteers at the Tri-County Humane Society in St. James, Missouri, proved this creed by raising over $1,000 through Facebook donations for the shelter.

The small shelter’s passionate volunteers provide quality care to its resident animals. Despite their hard work, however, the shelter is in need of funding to continue operating. Luckily, one of its newest volunteers decided to take a more creative approach to fundraising — Ashly Reed created a Facebook page in order to help raise donations for the shelter. Since the page launched at the beginning of the year, the shelter has received over $1,000.

Donations allow the shelter to expand, take in more animals, and attract more volunteers. Hats off to Ashly for taking charge and going above and beyond to help the shelter!
