(WILDLIFE PICTURES/TOUCHING TALES) A wildlife photographer visiting Noakhali, Bangladesh, documented a boy’s courageous endeavor to save a fawn in danger. Risking his own life to save the baby deer, Belal dove into a treacherous river, holding the deer above his head as the water overtook most of his body.
Onlookers were terrified for the boy’s safety and several were worried that he’d drown.
“My friend was even ready to jump into the river to save the boy,” photographer Hasib Wahab said, according to Grind TV.
“But he made it, and when he returned, we thanked the boy. There were only five to seven people observe this situation but it was a phenomenal sight.”
