LOS ANGELES — Today was a big day for Uggie, the Jack Russell terrier who starred in the Oscar-winning movie The Artist. Uggie is the first dog to have his paw prints cast in cement at Gruaman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The newly retired Uggie wants to encourage us all to adopt pets. “He’s adopted. He made it. If you guys can adopt a dog, even if they don’t make it on the big screen, they’ll be big stars at your house,” said trainer Omar Van Muller.
