(ANIMAL RESCUE) A raccoon boldly went where no raccoon has gone before when she found herself stuck on the UBS building in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Monday.

The reckless raccoon made it all the way to the 23rd floor before eventually arriving safely on the roof.

The courageous critter was first spotted resting in a lower-level nook outside the Town Square building downtown, and after a failed rescue attempt, the animal scrambled onto a skyscraper nearby and continued her dangerous ascent.

She was stuck for two days, without food or water, before her eventual rescue on Tuesday afternoon, which prompted a collective sigh of relief from the Internet world.

On Wednesday morning, she was picked up by Wildlife Management Services, the company that set the traps, and later released on private residential property in the suburbs of the Twin Cities with permission from the owner.

A number of office windows were graced by the animal’s presence, and many witnesses were able to capture photos and videos of the daredevil’s 20-story climb to the top.

It didn’t take long for local media to take notice, with some live-streaming the dramatic “RACCOON WATCH.” Not before long, the animal dubbed the #mprraccoon even had her own Twitter account.

Celebrate the fact that she’s finally safe and sound, and relive Raccoon Watch 2018 in the photos and video clips below. — Global Animal
