(RESCUE DOGS/ANIMAL RESCUE) Even though it’s only been a few months since Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, the lives of the dogs rescued by PETA’s animal rescue team have changed dramatically.
In Puerto Rico, PETA’s team gave food and water to shelter animals and provided medical care to those who were injured. They returned to PETA’s headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia, with the dogs in most need and worked with local shelters to give them a second chance at life.
In this new video, you’ll see many of the rescued dogs in their new homes, playing with toys, snuggling with their new guardians, and more—all things that they’re doing for the first time in their lives. — Global Animal
