(KIDS & PETS/CUTE ANIMAL VIDEOS) Washington D.C.’s Potomac Electric Power Company, or Pepco, recently received an 8-year-old girl’s request for a pet hamster that was accidentally mailed there instead of Petco. Even though Serenity Williams inadvertently sent her letter to the utility company’s headquarters, Pepco decided to make her wish come true.
This is what Serenity wrote:
“Dear Petco pets,
I’m Serenity. I’m 8 years old. I live in Washington D.C. I’m going to 2nd grade. May I please have a hamester because I never had a pet. I (love) hamesters because they eat carrots, and grass. I will take good care of it because I’ll let it eat. I will make sure I clean the cage. If I (receive) a hamster, I will do better in school, make more friends, and become responsible.”
How could you deny such a sweet request?! Pepco customer care workers Cornell Reddon and Clay Anderson called the Serenity’s mother for approval, and when she said yes, Reddon went to Petco and purchased the animal.
Serenity was given her new pet hamster on Friday, and she decided to name him “Brick.” — Global Animal
