(WILDLIFE/ZOO ANIMALS/CUTE ANIMAL VIDEOS) In a tear-jerking interaction at the Indianapolis Zoo, Rocky the orangutan meets a burn victim and his reaction to her scars is amazing. Upon seeing her bandages, the compassionate animal appears to show sympathy towards the woman. He can be seen gently touching the glass to take a closer look at her scars, and gesturing softly at her to remove the gauze.
“The orangutan was completely interested in my burn scars and recent surgery sights,” Darci Miller said.
Orangutans share 97 percent of humans’ DNA, so it comes as no surprise that they also share our ability to be compassionate.
“I am a burn survivor from 2015, yes it has it ups and downs, but this particular day made me feel really good about myself,” Miller continued. — Global Animal
