(PETS/PET CARE) Having a pet is a huge responsibility. Deciding and following a particular diet guide for a pet can be tricky and daunting, as a lot depends on the species, breed, and the life stage of a pet.
One’s diet guide should completely be pet-specific. Their food should be well-balanced, nutritious, easily digestible, and most importantly, safe (free of deficiencies or other harmful chemicals).
Unfortunately, most people make general assumptions or follow advice from other pet keepers and draft out their own diet sheets. What they don’t realize is that without performing thorough research on pet diet information, some decisions may be harmful to pets.
You must have a proper understanding of raw and dry food, as well as the byproducts and how different animals react to different foods and ingredients. You should also be aware of their allergies or intolerance to certain grains or meats.
If you are unsure about what your pet should be eating, please contact your vet, and let your pet enjoy a happy, healthy life.
