(WILDLIFE CONSERVATION/BABY ANIMALS/CUTE ANIMAL VIDEO) For the first time in its 120-year history, NYC’s Bronx Zoo welcomed a little penguin chick, who hatched on on May 10. Little penguins, also known as fairy penguins or blue penguins, are the smallest of all 18 penguin species. On average, adults are only 13 inches tall and weigh up to 3 pounds. Given that the survival of the species in the wild is threatened by climate change and habitat loss, this is a significant milestone for the species’ survival. — Global Animal
