(ANIMAL VIDEO/WILDLIFE RESCUE) “Rocky the Raccoon” caught a lucky break on Independence Day when he was pulled to safety by a group of boaters who spotted him, lost in Swann Creek in the Chesapeake Bay area.

“One of our crew aboard our boat heard a yelping sound and at first, it sounded like birds overhead,” one of the raccoon’s rescuers said.

Several hours later, they finally found the source of the cry: a young raccoon struggling to swim. They quickly threw him life preserver to climb upon and towed him to land. Watch the miraculous rescue in the video clip above. — Global Animal
