(WILDLIFE RESCUE/BABY ANIMALS/ANIMAL VIDEO) In this short video clip, an injured baby beaver grooms himself in a kiddie pool at the Alberta wildlife shelter. It’s believed the rodent—whose sex is still undetermined—was snatched up by a predator and dropped on a golf course under a tree, all alone and nowhere near water. The beaver came into the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation’s Madden-area facility on June 27 and with each passing day, the animal is steadily recovering and putting on weight. The shelter expects the beaver to be under their care for the next two to three years, first playing and eating, and then eventually learning the necessary skills to thrive in the wild. — Global Animal
