(ANIMAL VIDEO/PETS/LIZARDS) This beautiful bearded dragon, called Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame because of her spinal deformity, was once kept in a barren bin in a PetSmart supplier’s warehouse. Unable to be bred or sold, she remained a neglected novelty, left without water or proper veterinary care. Fortunately, a PETA eyewitness documented these findings and whisked the unique lizard away to PETA’s headquarters, where she is finally experiencing kindness. She can now burrow, relax in her hammock, bask under a heat lamp, and enjoy fresh vegetables and warm baths from PETA staff, who remaned her Esmerelda. — Global Animal
