(ANIMAL RESCUE VIDEO/PET ADOPTION) Leela the bunny was one of thousands of animals locked in a wire cage at Holmes Farm, a massive animal mill in Pennsylvania that supplies hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, chinchillas, ferrets, and other small animals to large pet store chains. The rabbit was so sick when rescuers found her, causing her left eye to seal shut with pus. But luckily for Leela, PETA’s eyewitnesses were able to rescue her and rush her to a veterinarian. After an examination and a few days of medication, the bunny has bounced back! Take a look at her celebratory Valentine’s Day party, complete with her favorite greens and fresh berries, in the video above. — Global Animal
