(ANIMAL RESCUE/RABBITS/ANIMAL VIDEO) With the help of the San Diego Humane Society, PETA successfully rescued 83 rabbits from a breeding operation in Southern California. The breeders had been selling the rabbits on Craigslist for fur, meat, and food, and were looking to close up shop and sell their remaining “stock.” The rabbits suffered from open sores and other varying medical problems after living day after day in barren cages, exposed to the elements and surrounded by their own waste. Fortunately their rescuers made sure the rabbits were cleaned up and received proper veterinary care, bedding, and fresh food, and now they’re waiting for the perfect families to adopt them. — Global Animal
