(VEGAN/VEGETARIAN RECIPES) Vegan donuts can be a hard find but you can make your own at home with little trouble. This recipe keeps the donuts on the healthy side with ingredients like bananas and maple syrup with only a small amount of oil.

Banana Chocolate Chip Donuts
Yield: 6 servings

2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
3/4 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
2 mashed Bananas
1/2 Vegan Chocolate Chips
1/3 cup Maple Syrup
2 tbsps Canola Oil
1/3 cup Almond Milk
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Mix together the flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Then in a separate bowl stir together the almond milk, oil, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.

Add the wet mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients and mix together until combined. Then stir in the bananas and chocolate chips.

Pour into a donut pan and bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

If you do not have a donut pan, you can also use a small cupcake or brownie pan to make donut holes.

Allow to cool, remove from pan and serve.
