Miley Cyrus was gifted a new puppy to mend her broken heart over her dog Floyd’s sudden death.
The pop star has been mourning the passing of her pal since Tuesday and mom Tish Cyrus stepped in to try and help her little girl feel better.
“My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses,” Cyrus tweeted with a picture of her new adorable dog Friday.
Cyrus made sure to note to her fans that Moonie could never fill the void of Floyd.
“No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin me some fur to cry on along with my other babies,” she wrote.
“I wanna sleep but all I can do is cry I never wanna go home to a house where Floyd isnt running & playing how do I get thru this,” the singer tweeted continuing to express her grief.
Cyrus, who was told about the passing of Floyd while on her Bangerz tour, paid an emotional tribute to Floyd during her Boston show Wednesday.
“It’s gonna be hard for me to sing this next song,” she told the audience. “I’m not sounding myself, I don’t feel myself.”
The 21-year-old singer dedicated Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” to her late furry friend.
“I just want to do a song for him,” she said. “We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together. This is his favorite song … so I wanna do this song for Floyd. This song is ‘Landslide.'”
As of Friday, Cyrus still does not feel like herself.
“I feel physically sick & I am so emotionally and physically exhausted I feel like I have nothing else to give sweet baby Moonie,” she added to her over 17 million followers.
