(CELEBRITIES/DOG RESCUE) While Olympians Gus Kenworthy, David Backes, and Lindsey Jacobellis are working to adopt some of the more than 1,000 stray dogs in Sochi, Russia, former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky brought back two adorable stray Sochi puppies of her own. Fedotowsky was met at the airport by friend Katherine Heigl, of Knocked Up and Grey's Anatomy, who plans to foster the puppies until they are healthy enough for adoption. Although Sochi built makeshift shelters for the dogs during the Olympics, it's still unknown what will happen with the stray dogs remaining in Russia. “Simpsons” Creator Journeys To Japan To Save Dolphins
(SEA SHEPHERD/TAIJI DOLPHINS) Sam Simon, co-creator of The Simpsons, along with Alexandra Paul of Baywatch and Missy Hargraves of Lost, arrived in Taiji, Japan yesterday. The three celebrity activists traveled to Japan to witness firsthand the cruelty behind the cruel Taiji dolphin trade, and encourage their fans to call for an end to the brutal annual dolphin slaughter. Simon will serve as an honorary Sea Shepherd Cove Guardian, and will spend his three days in Japan conducting interviews and spreading the word on the inhumane crimes committed against dolphins.
