Alpaca Gang Manages To Look Menacing
(ANIMAL VIDEO) This video is better than a personal empowerment workshop. If fluffy alpacas with long eyelashes can look like they mean business, projecting confidence is within reach for us all. Especially when we're accompanied by a dramatic music score. Needless to say, the force is strong with these Star Wars alpacas. — Global Animal
Deadly Dental Experiment Drills Dogs
(DOGS/ANIMAL TESTING) GEORGIA — An undercover investigation of Georgia Regents University (GRU) exposed shocking truths about the mistreatment of dogs used in their dental experiments. The experiments are largely unnecessary and have little to no purpose. After the dogs have their teeth painfully removed and replaced with dental implants, they are euthanized for a small part of their jaw bone. In the words of James Jensvold, the poor victims are being treated "as little different from a test tube." GRU recently responded to the video with heavy retaliation, claiming the dogs were anesthetized before removal of their teeth and that the research is far from "frivolous" or "unnecessary." Regardless, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) filed legal complaints against several of the organizations involved. Approximately 65,000 dogs are used for experimental purposes in the U.S. alone. Kim Basinger Takes A Bite Out Of Dog Dental Experiments
(CELEBRITIES/DOGS) Actress and animal activist Kim Basinger is fighting to stop deadly dental implant experiments being conducted on dogs. No stranger to controversy, Alec Baldwin's ex-wife narrates a short film, produced by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), exposing the horrific treatment dogs are enduring at a Georgia Regents University lab. The shocking new footage from a three-month-long undercover investigation reveals dogs undergoing cruel and painful experiments that are unnecessary and not required by law. To make matters worse, the HSUS documented proof that these dogs are being obtained from Class B dealers, who unscrupulously round-up dogs from "random sources" like auction houses and flea markets despite knowing they frequently traffic stolen family pets. The LA Confidential star isn't just the narrator of the film, but she's also experienced this kind of trauma first-hand. Read below for more on the Oscar-winning actress' tragic story and the HSUS's investigation. Take action by signing the petition to stop these shameless dealers.
