We’ve all been told to watch for drunk drivers this Halloween season, but now we have to worry about drunk kitties behind the wheel, too!? Not so fast!
Japanese pet supplement company B&H Lifes has surpassed our expectations, and is producing a consumption-safe wine for cats.
It looks like we may have a Great Catsby on our paws!

B&H Lifes produced a wine called Nyan Nyan Nouveau.
“Nyan Nyan” (ニャンニャン) in Japanese is equivalent to “meow meow” in English, and “Nouveau” was chosen as an allusion to Beaujolais Nouveau, a red wine with a huge fan base in Japan.
However, unlike the human version so dear to our hearts, this particular cat wine contains no alcohol.
Instead, it is made with Cabernet grapes, Vitamin C, and catnip, which gives it the taste of wine and mimics the relaxation we feel from our own consumption.
The chief executive of B&H Lifes said that Nyan Nyan was created in response to requests from cat caretakers.
“Cat owners were complaining there was no gift they could give their pets, while dogs could get sunglasses, raincoats, and boots.”
Only 1,000 bottles have been produced, each priced at 399 yen ($4 US), and expiration occurs within a year, so tell your cats to drink up!
