Almost every single puppy sold in a pet store has a mother who spends her entire life in a small cage. These confined dogs are solely used for breeding and are never treated and loved the way they should be.
Meet Lizzy, an adorable white pooch who spent 12 grueling years living in a cramped cage at a puppy mill. During this time, little Lizzy never once touched the ground.
Earlier this month, National Mill Dog Rescue rescued the charming canine who was immediately adopted by a loving family. She now has a happy home and the opportunity to experience life in a whole new way.
Too many dogs are subjected to the cruel conditions of puppy mills, and unfortunately, not too many get a second chance like darling Lizzy.
Watch the heart-melting video below of our new friend walking on grass for the first time.
Michele- Thank you for the assistance in "re-posting" a video from Harley's page. ! I really appreciate you taking the time to guide me through it! Now…. Why can't I write a post on a "regular" Facebook page, like yours? I can make a comment, but not a post?? Also, why can't I send you or another "person" a private message on their page? Thank you, in advance, for your help! You are a computer genius!!
Thank you for the great link! I remember the first time I set my little paws on grass! In fact, #Harley posted a video of it… I was not sure what to do!!! THANK YOU to all who rescue and adopt us Puppy Mill pups!!!

Watching that sweet baby discover grass makes me cry.
Lizzy is doing awesome and getting better everyday. She loves kisses and snuggling and will dance when she is happy! There are way too many left behind. Lets keep up the effort to educate and end puppy mills forever!
Thank you for sharing this and helping to raise awareness about the cruel realities of the puppy mill industry.
Seeing li'l Lizzy walk on the grass for the first time breaks your heart and brings a smile to your face at the same time…thanks from all of us and her as well for saving her for her 'second chance'…
So sad!
It defies my ability to comprehend the cruelty that man is capable of.
