Earlier this week, reality TV star Vinny Guadagnino became the latest celebrity to make pet adoption his first option. He brought home a new gal, but this pup is anything but a “grenade.”
The MTV celeb announced via Twitter that he’s welcomed a rescue puppy into his home and asked his followers for tips on the perfect name for the pit bull pup.
After many Jersey Shore-themed suggestions, Guadagnino finally revealed that he’d chosen the name Bodhi, “Inspired by her muscles and Buddhism.” He later changed his mind and tweeted, “Ok I changed my mind her name isn’t Bodhi it’s going to be Tita: Hawaiian word for a tough woman.”
The tan, brown-eyed pooch was reportedly rescued from the North Shore Animal League America, the world’s largest no-kill animal shelter for dogs and cats.
Tita will be joining Vinny’s evergrowing animal family which already includes four other rescue dogs, four cats, one ferret, and a parrot.
And Vinny isn’t the only animal-loving “Jersey Shore” star. His best friend, DJ Pauly D teamed up with the ASPCA last fall on a PSA for animals affected by Hurricane Sandy. Check out the video below.
