Attention all high school, college students and educators. Don’t miss out on an incredible opportunity to bring Eating Animals author Jonathan Safran Foer into your classroom. Farm Forward in collaboration with Foer will conduct a virtual presentation that discusses his book followed by a Q&A session. There are 8 sessions available on Wednesday October 3, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Each presentation is 15-minutes long and concludes with a 20-minute Q&A session.

Foer’s Eating Animals will take you on a journey you will never forget. As a father and husband, Foer searches for an explanation to the question, “Why do we eat some animals and not others?” 

Embarking on a journey to the depths of the food industry, he explores rare small family farms, large factory farms, and the fishing industry. Foer reveals some of what you may already know about the industry, and a lot you didn’t. 

His previous literary works, Extremely Loud and Incredible Close and Everything Is Illuminated, have been made into major motion pictures. It is his fiction background gives Eating Animals an interesting and captivating flow. He is funny, crude, intelligent and thought-provoking.

This book provides an education in food production. It contains pertinent, factual information needed to decide what choices are best for ourselves, our families and our environment.
