Kitten Cycled To Safety In Woman’s Bra

(ANIMAL LOVERS) TEXAS — Marjorie Monroy rides 100 miles a week with her cycling club in Texas, but never before had she rode with a kitten stuffed in her bra. When a fellow biker pointed out a lone cat on the side of a 90 degree Texas road, Monroy immediately turned around to see for herself. As soon as the furry companion saw Monroy, she came running to her rescuer. Determined to save the stranded kitty, Monroy rode the remaining ten miles with a cat in her bra. Blind Dog Paints For Animals In Need

(TOUCHING TALE) Upon learning her beloved pooch Hallie had suddenly gone blind from an autoimmune disease, DeeDee Murray went through great lengths to help save her pet’s vision—but sadly, to no avail. But when it seemed as though all hope was lost, this dog lover eventually transformed her rescued dachshund’s interesting talent into a great opportunity. Before Hallie’s rapid onset of blindness, this local Seattle painter effortlessly taught Hallie the painting trade. Now, the two are using Hallie’s artwork to help other animals in need. Hallie’s paintings are available for purchase online, where all profits are sent to Purple Heart Rescue, a dog rescue charity. 26 Whales Stranded In Scotland (VIDEO)

(WHALES)— A pod of 26 pilot whales stranded themselves off the east coast of Scotland between Anstruther and Pittenween on Saturday, September 1. In stranding situations, rescuers only have twelve hours to get the whales back into deep water before their internal organs begin to fail. Reacting swiftly, the Fife Coastguard, Fire Brigade, British Drivers Marine Life Rescue team, and other local volunteers were able to rescue ten whales. Reasons as to why these highly intelligent, social animals swim into shallow waters and strand themselves is unclear. – Global Animal
