(SHARKS) AUSTRALIA —  In response to last year’s five fatal shark attacks, the Australian government has launched a rather excitable plan to lash back and attack the sharks instead. Taking what they call, “proactive action,” the government unveiled the $7.12 million track, catch, and destroy operation. Giraffe Dies Escaping Italian Circus

City Coexists With Bears

(WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS) CALIFORNIA — A 300-lb black bear was spotted strolling through residential neighborhoods heading towards the freeway in Montrose, CA. Highway patrol stopped traffic and a deputy helicopter monitored the scene while waiting for Fish and Game officials to arrive. The bear was successfully tranquilized  and officials delivered him to a location deep in the Los Angeles National Forest.  Although bear sightings are common this time of year, Montrose has a unique mindset towards encounters with their furry four-legged neighbors. Dog Rescued After 8 Days On Mountain

Police Shut Down Cambodia’s First PETA Protest

(PETA) CAMBODIA — Police broke up PETA’s first protest in Cambodia on Monday, saying the activists who were sitting outside KFC had disturbed public order with their strange behavior. A local onlooker claimed Cambodians don’t have much knowledge on animal rights and are mostly concerned with the chemicals that may be in their food.
