Walmart’s Rollback Prices No Good For Pigs
(ANIMAL ACTIVISM) Over the past two weeks, animal rights activists have joined alongside Mercy for Animals in a national protest against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and its pork suppliers. Toting a 10-foot inflatable pig, bloody with sores and locked in a narrow crate, and waving signs that read “Walmart Tortures Pigs” and “Walmart Supports Animal Abuse,” animal advocates are posting outside Walmart store locations all over the country in a demonstration against the cruel practice of confining pregnant pigs in tiny gestation crates on factory farms. Horrific Animal Abuse At Wyoming Premium Farms
(FACTORY FARMING) The Humane Society Of The United States (HSUS) has uncovered yet another pig farm where horrendous abuses are taking place. Last February the HSUS exposed animal abuse at the Seaboard Foods and Prestage Farms. Now it’s Wyoming Premium Farms, a supplier to Tyson Foods, that’s under fire for their stomach-churning treatment of pigs. The undercover investigators had to watch the farm workers kick and punch mother pigs, kick and throw baby piglets, feed piglet testicles to their mothers for “fun,” deprive pigs of water and medical treatment among other horrifying actions.
