Pamela Anderson Against Animal Testing For Tobacco

(ANIMAL TESTING) Pamela Anderson is taking a stand against the FDA’s recommendation to test tobacco products on animals. Tobacco companies will often make rats breathe tobacco smoke for up to six hours a day for months on end, then kill them to study the damage on their bodies. The FDA’s recommendation is highly misguided as rats don’t contract the same diseases as humans, and the tobacco companies have used the findings from animal testing to mislead the public and deny the link between smoking and cancer. Pamela Anderson Gives Ukraine Red Card

(ANIMAL NEWS) Pamela Anderson has written a letter to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) president Michel Platini asking him to address Ukraine’s cruel preparation methods for Euro 2012. To get ready for the upcoming soccer tournament, Ukraine, the co-host of the event, is exterminating homeless animals. An estimated 7, 000 dogs a month have been hanged, shot, or poisoned. Even football players are asking that Ukraine find other methods to deal with the stray population. A country hosting such a big sports event has the responsibility of setting a better example than that. — Global Animal

Wow, Hong Kong airport has deemed this PETA video called “Cruelty Doesn’t Fly,” featuring Pamela Anderson camping it up, too racy! Is this the same Hong Kong of laissez faire capitalism and a thriving red light district? Or is violence against animals like violence in other media – just fine, but sex is off limits.
