(ANIMAL NEWS) PERU — Over 300 previously undocumented species were found in the Amazonian forests of Bahuaja Sonene National Park in Peru. Announced yesterday, the inventory list includes over 30 undocumented bird species, 2 new types of bats, and 233 species of moths and butterflies never before seen in the park. The last inventory of the area was done in 1996 and the dramatic rise in species is proof that conservation efforts are paying off.
