(MILITARY DOGS) Although military dogs help our officers complete difficult missions abroad, the Defense Department still classifies military dogs as “equipment.” Furthermore, many of these dogs do not receive proper care once they are retired from their duties. Unlike inanimate equipment, military dogs need to be honored and cared for after their services and should be able to find loving guardians.
