Australians Track, Catch, And Destroy Sharks

(SHARKS) AUSTRALIA —  In response to last year’s five fatal shark attacks, the Australian government has launched a rather excitable plan to lash back and attack the sharks instead. Taking what they call, “proactive action,” the government unveiled the $7.12 million track, catch, and destroy operation. Stolen Fairy Penguin Finds His Way Home

(ANIMAL NEWS) AUSTRALIA — Dirk, a 7-year-old fairy penguin bred in captivity, was stolen by three men from a Sea World on Queensland’s Gold Coast Saturday night. Dirk was found by a couple on Sunday in a local shark infested estuary. Sea World workers came to get Dirk and took him back to his home and mate, Peaches. WWF Calls For Better Protection For New Parks

AUSTRALIA – New parks are to be created as marine and wildlife sanctuaries in Western Australia, but the new protections proposed for this area in Kimberly will still allow oil drilling, mining, and commercial fishing. It seems these new protections don’t protect against anything.
