(WILDLIFE) FLORIDA — Tropical storm Debby has caused major destruction throughout northern Florida. Early this week, a mother manatee was fatally injured from the violent storm. (MANATEE) FLORIDA — Swimmers enjoying Fort Lauderdale beach this Sunday were taken aback when a group of manatees joined them in the shallow water. At this point no one is exactly sure why the sea cows ventured so close to shore, but some suggest it had to do with nursing.
