Animal Lovers Griffith & Banderas Adopt

(CELEBRITY PETS) After the passing of their two dogs roughly three weeks ago, Academy Award winner Melanie Griffith and her husband, actor Antonio Banderas, sought to honor the late pups by opening their home to two rescue dogs from one of their favorite Los Angeles-based shelters. The couple adopted two Shepherd/Labrador-mixed siblings—a brother and a sister—from the Ace of Hearts shelter in Beverly Hills, which is dedicated to rescuing dogs the day they are to be euthanized from various Los Angeles shelters. Griffith and Banderas appear to have a history with the organizationand are strong supporters of adopting rescue pets. Tonik, The Dog With A Human Face
