Director Kills Deer In Tribeca Film
(ILLEGAL HUNTING) NEW YORK — Director Ben Dickson is in legal trouble for actually hunting and killing two deer during the filming of his new movie, First Winter. New York State requires every hunter to have a permit and to attend an extensive hunting class, or pay fines up to $2,000 and face possible imprisonment. The actor who shot the deer did not have a hunting license and ended up fatally wounding another deer in the process. The film also shows one deer being skinned and cooked.
