Could Snow Leopards Become Domestic Cats?

(ENDANGERED SPECIES) PAKISTAN — In an effort to conserve Snow Leopards, an expert has proposed that we begin labeling the big cats as a domestic animal. Snow Leopards are an endangered species and have witnessed a recent decline in population due to hunting and retaliation by farmers. Labeling these cats as domestic could mean that farmers would be compensated for any of their livestock killed by the Snow Leopards. The expert, Shafqat Hussain, claims that people can easily co-exist with these leopards as they have never been known to attack people, and therefore there is no reason to consciously separate the two. Read on to see why some do not agree with the controversial proposal, and give us your feedback. — Global Animal
