Happy Ending For Kitten In Headlight (PHOTOS)

(ANIMAL RESCUE) By a stroke of luck, an adorable calico kitten was recently rescued in New York after a Brooklyn photographer spotted the kitten hiding under the hood of an adjacent car on the road. Antonio M. Rosario noticed the crying kitten inside the housing of a missing turn light signal to a Mercedes S550 and immediately asked the car owner to pull over in order to rescue the terrified feline. “Just One Day” Of No Euthanasia Saves Hundreds Of Pets

(ANIMAL RESCUE) On June 11, 2012, shelters around the country agreed to not kill any savable animals for one day, and instead make a focused effort to get more adopted. There were adoption events, discounts on adoption fees, and pictures of the at-risk animals uploaded to facebook and twitter. To any organization that took the pledge to be no-kill for a day, the organizers of the event sent a model press release, posters, and promotional plans. Abused Iranian Cat Finds Home In California

(TOUCHING TALE) Maloos the tabby cat was found on the streets of Iran covered in mud and gasoline with critical wounds and deformities in his legs and spine. After he was taken in by the Sayeh Animal Guardians, he was flown to San Francisco for medical care. Animal-loving San Franciscans donated money to pay for his care, and a lottery was held last week to pick one of the many people interested in becoming his guardian.
