Seeing-Eye Dog Guides Disabled Friend (VIDEO)

(ANIMAL FRIENDS) Blair, a rescued black lab, is guiding Tanner, a blind golden retriever with a seizure problem. The two shelter dogs bonded after Blair seemed to notice Tanner’s handicap. Tanner even started having less violent seizures less often, and Blair has become more sociable. The rescue organization is now hoping to find someone to adopt them together. Baby Fox Rescued From Well

(ANIMAL RESCUE) UNITED KINGDOM — A baby fox rescued from a well is now safe and sound at the Exotic Pet Refuge in Deeping St James, UK. No one is sure how she got in the well, but she may have been abandoned by her mother. The well was in a quarry where workers fortunately heard her cries and brought her up to safety. Emotional Lab Chimps Finally Get Their Freedom (VIDEO)

(ANIMAL RESCUE) Save The Chimps organization stepped in and rescued chimpanzees used for laboratory experiments from the Coulston Foundation research facility in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The facility was shut down in 2002 after three chimps cooked to death in their cramped cages on a hot day. It took ten years of hard work to socialize the previously isolated chimps with each other, form family groups, and relocate them. Watch the video below to witness the range of emotions these chimps experienced upon touching grass for the first time. — Global Animal

Pit Bull Saved From Death Row

(PIT BULLS) TENNESSEE — Prada, a mutt who is part pit bull, was ordered to be euthanized after escaping from her home and attacking several dogs in a wealthy Nashville neighborhood. Prada’s gaurdian, Nicole Andree, fought a lengthy battle to keep her alive and has finally succeeded. Prada will spend the rest of her life at Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans. The rescue center is featured in Animal Planet’s reality TV show “Pitt Bulls and Parolees,” and partners ex-convicts with dogs so they can rehabilitate together. Miracle Kitten Defies Doctor’s Orders
