Dick Clark: A Legacy Among Humans And Dogs

(CELEBRITY NEWS) Radio and television personality Dick Clark, died last Wednesday. Best known for hosting American Bandstand, Dick Clark will be remembered for many things, one of them being his extraordinary love for dogs. Clark specially designed his Malibu home to accommodate his pooches, and was known to have as many as five dogs at a time. His production company in Burbank was completely dog friendly, and Clark encouraged the pups to roam freely around the building, saying, “It has a nice effect on a place that tends to have a lot of tension.” Read on for more on Dick Clark’s soft spot for his animal friends. — Global Animal 

Director Kills Deer In Tribeca Film

(ILLEGAL HUNTING) NEW YORK — Director Ben Dickson is in legal trouble for actually hunting and killing two deer during the filming of his new movie, First Winter. New York State requires every hunter to have a permit and to attend an extensive hunting class, or pay fines up to $2,000 and face possible imprisonment. The actor who shot the deer did not have a hunting license and ended up fatally wounding another deer in the process. The film also shows one deer being skinned and cooked. 100,000 Endangered Species Condoms, Free on Earth Day

(ENDANGERED SPECIES) The Center for Biological Diversity is taking a creative approach to the issue of extinction this Earth Day. On April 22, they will give out 100,000 condoms across the United States with pictures of endangered species on them. The goal is to highlight the connection between human overpopulation and dwindling resources for wildlife.
