(HELP ANIMALS) More than 1,000 horses are being neglected by the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, one of the world’s largest private organizations dedicated to caring for former racehorses. The foundation could not afford to fund the farms providing the care for the horses, and the animals were neglected, some to the point of death.
