Megan’s Meat-Free Monday: Quinoa Bowl With Tahini-Lemon Dressing

(VEGAN RECIPE) — Hungry? Want something delicious in under thirty minutes? This weeks meat-free monday challenge is my favorite go-to lunch recipe. I always have quinoa on reserve and usually have fresh garlic and ginger lying around. Those three are a mean combination. Just add whatever protein available, beans, tofu, seitan etc. Plus any veggies you have. The tahini-lemon dressing is one recipe that every at-home chef should know. It’s impressive, versatile and delicious.

Millions Of Tiny Crabs Wash Ashore (VIDEO)

(ANIMAL NEWS) HAWAII — Researchers are stunned by the the millions of pea-sized crabs that washed ashore on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. The name and type of crab is still unknown. The crabs are in their swimming stage and cannot survive on the beach. Could this be related to the hundreds of beached dolphins and pelicans found in Peru earlier this year? Megan’s Meat-Free Monday: Seitan With Zesty Orange Sauce

(VEGAN RECIPE) I wasn’t a huge fan of seitan, but this recipe changed my mind! I originally made it for a friend and really enjoyed it. I also like to make a similar version of this recipe with tempura cauliflower in place of seitan, which is equally amazing, but a bit more time consuming. You can also use dry fried tofu for a gluten-free version. This week’s Meat-Free Monday challenge will have your guests asking, “are you sure it’s meat-free?” — Global Animal
