Elisabeth graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in English/LIterature and Psychology. She is currently pursuing her masters at UCLA in Film and Television writing. During her time in Miami Elisabeth was on the swim team and marine mammal stranding team, and got to help with many water rescue and stranding situations. She currently resides in Santa Monica with her son, six month old english bulldog, Ernie. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to the beach, running, and yoga.

PETA “Stand-Up” For Animals

(CELEBRITY NEWS) Even though PETA’s causes are nothing to laugh about their recent “Stand-Up For Animals” benefit at the LA Comedy Store had everyone in stitches. Fred Willard hosted the event and comedians that took the stage included Bill Mahar, Carol Leifer, Jane Lynch, Marc Maron, and Jeffery Ross. The event also had quite an impressive guest list with celebrities ranging from Olivia Munn to Pink, all with their clothes on. Guests dined on delicious vegan treats and drinks while enjoying the show, and all proceeds went toward funding PETA’s efforts to fight animal abuse. Iowa Family Finds Mammoth Skeleton In Yard

(WOOLY MAMMOTH) IOWA — When an Iowa family dug up a really big bone in their backyard two years ago, they had no idea what they were in for. The bone ended up being part of a full wooly mammoth skeleton that now belongs to the family. (BREED DISCRIMINATION) NORTHERN IRELAND — When the Barnes family brought Lennox home they had no idea he would one day be ripped from their arms, isolated in a kennel for two years, and eventually sentenced to execution. Abused Iranian Cat Finds Home In California

(TOUCHING TALE) Maloos the tabby cat was found on the streets of Iran covered in mud and gasoline with critical wounds and deformities in his legs and spine. After he was taken in by the Sayeh Animal Guardians, he was flown to San Francisco for medical care. Animal-loving San Franciscans donated money to pay for his care, and a lottery was held last week to pick one of the many people interested in becoming his guardian. ASPCA Pledges To Ban Puppy Stores

(PUPPY MILLS) The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is leading a “No Pet Store Puppies Campaign.” The goal is to raise awareness about puppy mill cruelty and the link between puppy mills and pet stores.
