(VEGAN/VEGETARIAN) Chocolate mousse can be a luxurious treat and an impressive dessert when entertaining. This recipe is made with tofu, so it’s very filling and a small serving of about 1/4 of a cup should be a good start.
You can dress it up with your favorite additions like chocolate shavings, nuts, and sprinkles. You can even use it as a base for other desserts like chocolate mousse pie.

Yield: 4-6 servings
1 14 oz package Medium Firm Tofu
1/2 bag Vegan Chocolate Chips (6 oz)
2 tbsp Maple Syrup
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Vanilla
Process the tofu in a food processor until it is creamy.
Melt the chocolate chips in a double broiler or in the microwave. (If using the microwave, try heating for 30 seconds at a time and stirring in between.)
Add the melted chocolate, maple syrup, cocoa powder and vanilla to the food processor with the tofu and process until thoroughly mixed together.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and serve.
