Pet Tragedy Strikes On “Family Guy”

(DOGS/TV) Spoiler alert, Family Guy fans!

Last night, in an event that rocked the television world, Brian Griffin, Family Guy’s chief canine, died after being struck by a car.

Before his passing, Brian’s last words to his family were, “You’ve given me a wonderful life. I love you all.”

Brian entertained the world for the last 14 years as a key member of FOX’s animated series, and is survived by his loving but dysfunctional family, Stewie, Peter, Lois, Meg, and Chris.

A lovable drunk, Brian enjoyed defending the merits of liberalism, and writing universally-panned novels in his spare time.

The cartoon dog is already greatly missed, as a Change.org petition urging Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane to bring Brian back has already received over 2,500 supporters.

Who knows? With MacFarlane as the voice behind Brian, the beloved dog’s comeback doesn’t sound so ridiculous, so fans should hold tight.

Brian’s untimely death also comes right before a rumored crossover episode between Family Guy and The Simpsons.

This television tragedy should serve as a reminder to share the love with our animal companions while they’re still around. When you get home from work today, give your dog that extra scratch behind the ear just because.
