(WORKING MILITARY DOGS/ANIMAL VIDEO) One of the most highly acclaimed films of the year, Zero Dark Thirty features the brave soldiers of Seal Team Six and recounts the story of how they were able to take down the most notorious terrorists in the world.
What the film does not cover, however, is the story of what happened to their dog, Cairo, when they returned from their mission.
If you’re unfamiliar with Cairo, a Belgian Malinois military dog, he’s famously known for his assistance in the take down of Osama Bin Laden along with Seal Team 6.
Katie Rich, a member of the world famous Second City Theatre in Chicago and avid animal rights advocate, has teamed up with her fellow cast members and created Zero Bark Thirty, a “companion piece” to the critically acclaimed film. The short film satirizes and celebrates the struggles of all soldiers through the memorable story of Cairo.
We think the piece is simply hysterical, and the way in which our brave military dogs are commemorated is thought-provoking with an edgy, humorous twist. For dog lovers, those who support our troops, and everything in-between, this creative short film will definitely put a smile on your face.
